Hatch-Along - Setting eggs week of February 8th!! Who's joining me?

Well guys, day 14 and I just don't know.

Out of the 15 eggs I have left to me, with bad eyes and all, looks like only 2 or 3 are doing anything. They have the big dark blob with veins running down the clear part. The others are very small dark spots with no veins running down the clear part.

None smell yet. Lock down is Sunday, I guess I am going to leave them in there and see what they look like on Sunday morning.

Thanks I'm hoping for the best. The sebrights are from my son's trio. My first set of swedish flowers 2 developed 11 clear and none hatched total disappointment on first shipped eggs. tried the no turn for first 2 1/2 days to help with displaced air sacs.

YAY!!!! My "close to being smashed" eggs, are FERTILE! And developing perfectly! It's day 6 now, and I can see very clear, dark veins and a big heart!

I can't remember where your eggs shipped? It does sound like they were early quitters.

No. I got mine from my hens. There are issues with this used homemade incubator.

I get to do a big candling tonight. Anybody who's not doing anything HAS to be tossed, because I have another dozen to put in I think they're doing well now - in some of my previous candling I had started to see life in the buff orps, so fingers crossed!

well everyone, i candled eggs last night; guess it's time for an update on my eggs:

12 barred rock eggs: got too chilled before i put them in the incubator ....0 veining (all bad)
8 mixed bantam eggs: got too chilled before i put them in the incubator.... 0 veining (all bad)

9 mille fleur d'uccle eggs.....8 (day 7)

It's a good rate of fertility, what type of geese do you have
