I would like to join in also. I am due March 3rd. I have I think 32 total in 2 'bators. 21 Delaware, 4 BBS Orpingtons, 4 Barred Rock and 3 Black or White Java.
So far all but 5 are doing well with Veining and or Embryo's visible in all but the 5. Of those 5 4 are clear and one was an obvious bloodring. I am not candling except on days 7, 14 and 18 just before IBW (intensive 'bator watch). My last few hatches were horrible with me getting one chick out of each one and I partially blame my inability to keep my hands off of the eggs. Constant fluctuations in the humidity and temp, in addition to overhandling of the eggs I am sure caused a few to be shrink wrapped in my last hatch. I also just think that in combination with the tempermentality of the Hovabators caused me trouble.
So I did what any reasonable addict would do, I bought a Suro King 20 fully automatic incubator. Most of the eggs are in there with just a few in the Hovabator. Hopefully, that combined with the hands off policy and I'll have fewer late quitters. (Day 12-15).
