My Mystery eggs are due tommorrow!!!

Other eggs doing fine for 11/3 hatch.

so if im due 11/3 (i put them in the bator on a wednesday.. does that mean that they're due to hatch on the wednesday or the tuesday?) Do I go into lockdown tomorrow eve, or is today the last day I can rotate them?
Also - since I havent had any water in my bator at all (the instructions for my 2 egg bator didnt say to add water) should I put a bit in the bottom of it now, or just leave it as is?


Edit - Also -would I be best to put my two eggs that are in my bator under the broody tomorrow night and let them hatch under the momma than have them hatch in the bator?

You should definitely add water to your bator for lockdown tommorrow.

If you set the eggs in the evening they will hatch on wednesday. If in the morniong on Tuesday. They could also be late. Just go into lockdown tommorrow and wait.

It is always easier to have the broody hatch them. They hatch a lot better and you save on electricity. It all depends on what you want. If you want to raise them in your house and watch them hatch or if you want the mother to raise them. You can also hatch them in the bator and them put them under the hen once they've hatched.

WOW everyone is talking about lots of eggs, 10/20/30, ready to hatch and here I am (a first timer w/ a homemade incubator) with ONE egg ready to hatch. I think it is so funny that I have my ONE little old egg.....

I started with 7, one went stinky and 5 were duds. That little baby will get SO much attention tho, I plan on schlepping it with me everywhere. It is due any day now............I am SO excited, my first egg, figuratively and literally...

If you put your eggs in the bator EARLY Wed morning, then your 21st day would be Tuesday.

I would only count Wed as the first day if they were in there the whole day.

I am going into lock down tonight, since I did not put my eggs in there until the late evening.
