BLAST and DANG IT!

Planned my first hatch for a weekend we would be here and it seems we have to go away for part or all of the weekend. Can I put food and water in the incubator? Will the heat of the bator do the little quailies in? There are only 23 eggs in a Hova-Bator designed for 240 (quail) eggs so PLENTY of room.

Just found all my seed packets got left out in the rain last night and now worrying about the quail hatching with no one to take them out of the bator.

Hope the day goes uphill from here

Mine has egg turners at top and brooder at bottom, Not familiar with that model incubator but mine I have a built in fan to dry the baby chicks with food & water than after a couple of days I move them. Water and food would be though make sure theres a way they can get to it if you cant monitor them. First week keep chicks at same temp as hatching temp so that wont be a problem, than decrease temp every following week until they mature out and feathers come in than remove heat if outside temps are good, Good luck with the hatch VQB

Yay, dont have to go after all! Am going to set up me brooder in a few min. and keep my fingers crossed for a good hatch!

This is SO much better than being pregnant
