Hatch going wrong before I even put em in the bator!!!

But insulation is a great way to go. I had a batch shipped to me in a plastic tray kind of like hospital trays. a layer of insulation on the bottom eggs in flat insulation on top cardboard on top of that. Then they taped the plastic box up in so much tape I had to use sissors like a surgical tool! It was not even put in another box and all the eggs made it safe and sound.

My fav is the box with a layer of foam on the bottom... a layer of foam with egg holes and eggs inside the holes... then a layer of foam on top. all foam layers are the same size as the box so no shifting around.

Yep got quail eggs in those , but eggs on the otherside rolls were broken. look great ,but I would double box , because if side of box get push in, there is the broken eggs.

Alway remember what will happen if the box get smash a little, dead air space on sides,top,bottom(fill with peanuts)

I use air packs that people use to ship computers with. I can just go down the street and pick some up anytime I need them.

I'm not fighting anyone's battles for them. Now don't go calling me illiterate, I may be a dumb old redneck but I can still read. Oh, I have had eggs shipped to me in plastic cartons. I had half of them broken. I don't want to risk my eggs on a piece of tape holding the carton half way shut. I never said my was was the only way, I said it worked well for me. I have shipped in flats, paper cartons, plastic cartons, and chicken cartons. If the eggs won't fit in the carton why not just get some that will? I am not going off what other people say. and do you honestly think I care what you think about me? I am not going to get myself depressed or go on a rage over what some anonymous person on a chicken website said, just remember that. Maybe you think I am an idiot who picks up on whatever someone else says, but I don't even know you. Calling someone illiterate isn't going to solve your problems. By the way I can read and if I couldn't do you think I would be typing this? Maybe it's just idiot logic but oh well. While I did say plastic cartons were crap that was from my experience. You would say the same thing if you lost 40 snowflake bobwhite eggs to them.

Gosh guys I really didnt mean to start any arguments. I really do appreciate all of your advice. I like to hear everyones opinion and then use all of the info to try to produce the best results when I begin shipping. (That is if I can even get them to hatch in the first place) lol Please try not to get upset with each other. I really do want to hear all of the differing opinions. It does suck when the eggs arrive broken. I hope to learn from you all how to keep that from happening to any of my future customers.
