But insulation is a great way to go. I had a batch shipped to me in a plastic tray kind of like hospital trays. a layer of insulation on the bottom eggs in flat insulation on top cardboard on top of that. Then they taped the plastic box up in so much tape I had to use sissors like a surgical tool! It was not even put in another box and all the eggs made it safe and sound.
My fav is the box with a layer of foam on the bottom... a layer of foam with egg holes and eggs inside the holes... then a layer of foam on top. all foam layers are the same size as the box so no shifting around.
