Hatch On Dates: Oct-nov? Dont Forget About This Post!!!

I love seeing all the breeds you guys are putting in, I have to really restrain myself from getting enough to fill my 'bators up! I got a second one on craigslist and it seems to be working great! REally steady temp now that it is adjusted... mmmm we only have room for the eggs that are already in, ok, guess I will wait but oh baby look out when I can get hatching seriously.... although, maybe I should just hatch some lovely cuddly silkies and let them do all the hard work for me.

I am so excited to see how many of these lavender ameraucanas make it... I am hoping we can get them all introduced to the present two bantams without too much fuss once they are big enough. Of course if I could just get Cleopatra to go broody again I could slip the eggs under her and give her the extra babies from the incubator when they are all out too! Guess we'll see what happens. I too am itching to candle but am restraining myself. I just got a replacement flashlight for the one that is dead, this one is a lot brighter so it should be fun to go a'candling!

Ahh yes my wife has a flock of silkies that arn't quite old enough to lay eggs yet....bummer with them it will be easy I'll just let them do all the hard work and i won't have to stress!

Ok if you guys are like me there is nothing you like better on BYC than pictures!

its california grey, blue andalusian, Partridge Penedesenca(note black legs) lol, cochin, and turken, and the eggs will b mixed, i didnt seperate them to breed cuz i thought the roos were to young, but all of my eggs are fertile so eaither the andalusian or penedesenca r doing the job lol. i guess ill find out when they hatch, i have 3 eggs from the california grey and one from the cochin and one from the turken.( im hoping)

We have stuck 2 eggs from our Brown Leghorns in the 'bator. I've never seen them mate, but one of her eggs we ate was fertile so I'm taking a chance on getting a couple more. Here are Jacob and Bella (pic over a month old)... my 9yr old DD named them

I really hope I can join you guys! I've got about a dozen LF salmon Faverolles eggs that are set to be shipped my way tomorrow. I've got a Brinsea 20 Eco that's in the other room heating up as I type. I'm so excited!! I should be able to get these buggers in the incubator by Thursday, and Friday at the latest if I have any doubts at all with the temperature/humidity.

Loving all of your photos! I hope all of you have successful hatches!
