HATCHALONG!!!

cool now can any body help me with this? today is day 22 now and still nothing... one egg had died and i opened it tiday (the one I picked at) and it looked fine but it was dead it had all its feathers, egg tooth, claws, scales every thing but it was a little small. and the 4 remaining eggs still havent done anything! how do I tell if they have died or not without opening the egg? I don't want to kill them if they are still alive and just late.

I have already candled them and its hard to tell because I cant see anything! and I don't hear peeping ether.

well they all died sadly and I have pictures so maybe you guys can tell me what went wrong! I know one is cooked but the others had developed farther than that one so I amk stumped but I don't know much about chickens ether.

this one was supposed to be the twins but it was just one but it got SOO FAR!!!

Well I think that if the temp fluctuated too much over the incubation period that the chicks that made it full term were too weak to get out of their eggs. Fluctuating temp can lead to developmental problems. I think it is time for you to buy a real incubator :) I am getting the hova genesis 1588. You might even be able to find a used one on here. I am so sorry all your babies died :( You could also order chicks online too if you don't want a bator.

well my parents said that because we have already built the coop and spent so much money on it and have already bought chick feed on the 31st when our feed store has its "chick day" where they said they will have chicks, baby turkeys, baby guineafowl, baby bunny's and other things like that along with free feed. my parents said they would buy me some chicks then

. so I still will have some chicks even if the 30 eggs that only (as far as I can tell) about 5-10 are viable and developing. and a friends friend his dad has an incubator that still works am goio maybe he will let me use it because I am going to get some more eggs from my uncle when I get a incubator. my parents said they might buy me an incubator from mypetchicken.com because they have a $65 incubator so there is still hope!
