Hatcheries

I will never order from hatcheries again. We got a shipment of 60 chicks, and they got the whole order WRONG. We only ended up with 5 chicks in the end due to spontaneous death.
I use Murray or my pet chicken

which hatchery got the order wrong

if i buy from another hatchery it will be a small order less than 25 chicks

I think your best bet is MPC.
If they get the order wrong, the throw in extra chicks to make up for it.
Beware of UPS though. Multiple time chicks have been shaken to death/Lost in the mail with UPS.
But, That could be the only shipping service.

MPC is great, though. They always respond to recommendations, emails, and if they mess up the re-do your order for free. Very wonderful people there, I tell you!
We don't have to really buy chicks anymore, and I really don't like buying chicks. We have Silkies, Cochins, and Jap's going broody like crazy.

i wanted some new types that nobody has in my area that's why i ordered them

i have always bred my own and hatched my own chicks but i try something new and well it bit me in the rear

Same with me. Bit me in the rear. I wouldn't have my grand champion D'uccel if I didn't, though.
