Here are the 14 chicks that hatched a few days ago.

And a shot of a few of 'em. So cool that I can sex the faverolles by color!

And the "Halloween Hatch" that started on Friday - 9 chicks so far, possibly all that will hatch.

NONE of the chicks were happy with the flash, so I didn't take any more photos after this one.

That's shelf liner in that round brooder - the chicks aren't ready for the pine shavings underneath it.

They are all just precious!!! Congrats on the new babies!

My youngsters are getting pretty big, now. I need to take some photos to share. My SPPR is just beautiful with her delicate pattern. The Modern Game looks like a basketball player...all legs! I moved their roosting branch around in the brooder for a change of scenery! Haha they went crazy!

Those are adorable!!!

Still no pips, but I sware I heard a peep last night. was I imagining things, or did I just get the date wrong? UGH!! I wish I could figure this out!!!

From now on I am going to write the date on the calender the day I set them!!!

Candled my Coturnix eggs and all looks well for Wednesday.

this is Zip, my Cochin/Serama cross. He is about 4 months now, but was three weeks old in this picture.

Just thought I'd share.

Enjoy.

Ummmm.....I think I'm in trouble......my last batch of eggs is due to hatch Monday the 8th. All's good there, but, um, I bid on 3 different auctions in the last 24 hours and won all 3! Now I have at least 42 eggs being shipped Monday so I guess I have to leave the bator running.......oops!

I'm thinking about hatching some eggs again (even though I already stuck the incubator in the closet for winter), not even BBS Orps (which is what I want to focus on) but some EE's I have cause I want some pretty eggs in my pet coop.....I'm giving my gorgeous EE rooster to my sister next moth, so I don't have to long to get those eggies going, If I'm gonna get any EE babies it will need to be this winter.... I need to think about this....

10 out of 38 made it to lockdown.

I have one that's been pipped for hours, but looks tired and slowing down.

Hatch date is tomorrow so hopefully they'll all make it.
