Pullets can often be sold much more easily.
I am trying to get the more unique and rarer breed/colors. Most people here start with the usual hatchery offerings, I have them too, because they are proven good layers and with a flock of 3 that's important. Many of my chicken friends have never seen a silkie! I already have requests for the pullets. I'll do my best by my roos. But if I think about it, even if I had a huge farm and kept all of my hatchlings, the roos would have to go somewhere, like my own freezer. That's just the way it is. This way maybe most will find good homes.
And, BTW, thanks for enabling me. You know I'll keep doing it!
