Too funny. I had one on the other side of the incubator this morning. I KNOW I didn't leave it there!!!

Sounds like you have a very strong baby in there

I think I am going to start working on uping my humidity tonight. I am using an LG with fan and with all the wells full my humidity is at about 40% (yes, I calibrated

). I wound up putting 3 dishes with sponges in there last time to get the humidity in the right range but I think I killed my babies before I got it right

So, this time I got a shammy to put under the screen. I'm thinking that should do it

. I don't want to wait until I am already in lockdown to find out again.

I have a borrowed hovabator 2632N ( think that's it) I'm not sure about how the humidity will be when I have to fill the troughs, but I know opa's used it with no problems. He told me to fill all the troughs. I'm assuming it's the two in the manual he is speaking of. I haven't had any humidity or temp issues thus far.

I'm sure I'll be a nervous wreck when that part comes.

Ok, maybe it wasn't my eyes then. Now I don't feel so bad.

If I didn't have any water in there now the humidity would be under 20%. If you are not having the issue now, I'm sure you will be fine, especially if that bator was already used successfully. Also, I read that the hovabator's are much more reliable than the LG that I am using but I was way to impatient to order one online

. Now that we are starting to use the wood stove, I bet I have even more of an issue even though the bator is as far away from the heat source as possible. I may have to start up the humidifyer in the room.
