If I didn't have any water in there now the humidity would be under 20%. If you are not having the issue now, I'm sure you will be fine, especially if that bator was already used successfully. Also, I read that the hovabator's are much more reliable than the LG that I am using but I was way to impatient to order one online

. Now that we are starting to use the wood stove, I bet I have even more of an issue even though the bator is as far away from the heat source as possible. I may have to start up the humidifyer in the room.

I think that's about what it was with no water in it. ( 19 - 20 % ) When the center trough has water in it, it's stays between 30 - 40 %. We have had some really cold weather, then lots of cold rain. I was told as long as it's between 30 - 40 % during first 18 days I'm good. He didn't mention having to put sponges in later on. Just fill the troughs on day 18.

Day 17 and countdown begins. I discarded the eggs that weren't doing anything this morning. 15 remain, and all had movement.

I have some peeping and some zipping going on. I have to go to work, so hopefully will have some fluffy peepers out when I get home.

I have BC Marans and RIR in my hatcher.

I'm on day 16 now and really really can't wait till day 21. i am so excited and nervous and worried all at the same time. anyone else have the pre-hatch jitters?

Yes!!! Very much, lol. I can't wait for Sunday to get here. Good thing I have tons to do away from the house on Saturday or I wouldn't be able to stay away from the bator.
