Do you have food and water in his brooder? Sometimes ducklings choke a little and they shake their head and jump around but if he has stopped then he should be fine. Do you have a picture?

Oh good this has happened to me three times with my ducklings and it scares me so bad! My heart would be pounding for another hour before i’d calm down. glad he’s doing better.

Well he's supposed to be silver appleyard but looks like one of the rouens were being a bit naughty. I'll send a picture of what my old ones looked like.
Maybe the one in the egg will be a yellow! But either way it's great he made it after being abandoned for like 5 days!

These ducklings have grown up and in this picture are just sleeping.

Pretty good! Also cheese really cute. Our duck is probably a mix between that type and a silver appleyard.
