Congratz on the baby!

My Husband's grandmother passed away last Friday so we had to go on a road trip to PA for the funeral. We just got back last night. The eggs are in lock down and I am home. Mom got the humidity changed Wed. morning. I hope that was soon enough. No pips or zips, but I didn't set them until the afternoon of the 8th so we have a few more hours. I sure hope we have some baby chicks this evening. I could use some new life in this house to cheer me up. I only got to candle them ones on day 12, so I hope they are all still going to hatch. I hate to candle them this late in the game.

Sorry for your loss- that really sucks!!

My second egg was quite zipped when I left this morning for work.

I moved the 1st peeper to the brooder when I rolled the 6 that still need to be turned this morning. (they are only getting turned 2x a day right now)

Here are the six chicks that I have already. Four more I am still waiting on.
I have:
2 silver sussex
2 lavender orps.
1 swedish flower hen
and 1 chick that hatched from an egg that was marked Lavender Orp., but is very yellow so I am thinking it was miss labeled.

Also I have one chick that keeps flipping over on its back and sleeping that way. Is that normal?

woooo hooooo !!!! great hatch for you so far!!! Maybe the yellow one is a lavander splash?

I have had both of my D'Unccles hatch out- they ran all over like crazy monkeys right away. However I've had 2 of my Tolbunt Polish hatch out tonight- and they are just laying there, they move a little and then lay there again for a while. They seem so letargic- is this normal? Will they act ok in the morning?

Well only partway into day 21 right now (evening is more day 21)

So far have:

2 Millie Fluer D'Unccles (no more eggs- they hatched on days 18 & 19)

3 Silkies (2 blue, 1 splash) (10 more eggs to hatch- some pipping)

6 Tolbunt Polish (4 more eggs to hatch) They are tuxedo marked- but have more color variety than I thought on the non white areas-
3 black, 2 blue, 1 reddish blueish brownish one

I had to move the last 6 eggs I was turning into the cartons- so these guys are all out in the brooder (been turning those 6 twice a day- if there are no pip holes in eggs to hatch out. And grabbing the dry babies that run around then too. )

So the rest will be stuck in the bater for a bit before being pulled now that turning is done on the 6
