Hatching Buddy wanted for Eggs in on August 5th & 6th

No she doesn't protest at all, that's what's great about her. I reach into the box and just lift her right out and emidiantly take her outside, just to make sure there are no mishaps, lol. She will go out and take that big poop and I have been carring directly back in just to be safe since it's her first time brooding. She will eat a little and drink some water and go right back into the box. Yes I've got to many hens and roosters ranging in the back yard and thought what the heck because it's so hot outside. She is real content inside anyway.

Lockdown on Tuesday....I am so excited! Now lets pray these eggs have chicks inside of them.

I think mine if still in the bator would go into lockdown on Monday. I had put the eggs in at 12:30 in the afternoon and I was counting that as day one. So I'll start looking for hatching on Wednesday under the broody. I still have the one left in bator that was put in 3 days later and should hatch by the following Sun or Mon. I hope she will take that chick. What do ya'll think? Good Luck everyone!

Ugh! I just had to toss a bad egg. I opened the incubator and WHEW! To find the perpetrator I had to employ the smell test on each egg until I found the dud. Thank God I caught that one before it exploded!

Ewww that's bad, good to hear you caught it in time. I was thinking of candeling the eggs under my girl one last time tonight. So far all 5 have been good. Do you know if adding that last chick to Muffin when it hatches will work if I do it at night? Is 3 to 4 days later too much?

Lockdown on tomorrow 8/23/10....candled on day 14 had 6 positives, 2 unsure, 3 nonfertile n 1 quit on about day 3. Just hope the finwl days I can keep the temp n humidity rt! Started with 12 blue copper marans on 8/5/10.

Yay! Here is to lockdown!

I ended up tossing 4 of 12 eggs, but I am still not too confident about the remaining 8. We'll see what comes out! Good luck everyone!

got home from work tonite @ 6 and had a chick hatched

Wasn't suppose to be here until Thursday...now just hope the lil guy/gal keeps peeping
to encourage the other 7 that made it this far!

I have 10 sizzle eggs in lockdown, I can't wait til Friday!
