No she doesn't protest at all, that's what's great about her. I reach into the box and just lift her right out and emidiantly take her outside, just to make sure there are no mishaps, lol. She will go out and take that big poop and I have been carring directly back in just to be safe since it's her first time brooding. She will eat a little and drink some water and go right back into the box. Yes I've got to many hens and roosters ranging in the back yard and thought what the heck because it's so hot outside. She is real content inside anyway.
