I strongly suggest that you remove the thing that's attached to the other duckling. I suggest this because there have been cases where they get it stuck on something which then pulls out their yolk.I won't be touching them again, they were shrink wrapped.. I stopped as soon as I saw blood

Okay, I feel better, lol. I'm sure it will be fine. Thanks, sorry the situation is getting a bit confusing. The duckling with the "yolk" is in a seperate bator to the other too - It was slightly attached by a thread. its removed now. Think I over reacted with that one. Thanks for your help with that one though![]()
Shrink wrapped is when all blood vessels are dry and the egg does not bleed but the Bird is incased in the egg...That's shrink wrapped...
Relax. What's done is done, and the only way we learn how and when to assist is by doing it. The amount of blood I saw looks minimal, so I think you'll be okay.OK, I get your explanation... however the membrane on the first one I saw hatch, he seemed to slice through. The ones I helped had shell missing but membrane intacted... It was tough to break, even with sharp tweezers. There is no chance their beaks would have got through that..
Up the humidity and I think your worrying too much...Over assisted Ducklings don't survive...OK, I get your explanation... however the membrane on the first one I saw hatch, he seemed to slice through.
