I am new to hatching eggs. On days 24 and 25 eggs were moving and rocking, day 27 to day 30 have seen nothing. Is this normal? Have my eggs failled? Does anyone know what the incubation period is for canadian geese? I have read answers from 25 days to 35 days.

From what I've heard, Canada geese incubation period is usually 28 days. I'm sure it can vary. They can wiggle many days before actually hatching. Are you absolutely sure they aren't moving? Watch each one to be sure. I'd give it a little while yet. Sometimes it's hard to catch them moving.

I am working hard to be patient but getting more and more worried. Thankyou for the response and support.

Yes, I completely understand. I have farm raised pintails in my incubator getting ready to hatch, hopefully! I'd like to try Canada geese someday (legal ones of course). I'm starting to dabble into the wild/exotic waterfowl. Sometimes hatches do fail. It takes a couple tries. You'll learn as you go. I highly suggest starting out with chicken eggs since they are a little easier to hatch. Waterfowl need a little more care during incubation and hatching. There are many factors that may prevent developed goslings from hatching. The only thing you would be able to do is wait and see and observe. Sometimes birds do hatch late.
