Hatching chicks and ducklings together?

Ahaha I got them to come around by throwing in some peas and they were diving under the water to get them within 10 minutes lol, I'm really looking forward to it this year again :)

Ok I have candeled the 5 eggs, that I set last Wednesday and only one is fertile, from what I can tell all the others just look like normal eggs, and there is one with the spider thingy inside

OK first of all the spider veiny one is that the one your talking about being fertiled? Because you can't tell if an egg is fertled just by candling them, they have to be developing.

Yea that's what I mean, it was one that had a circle 2 days ago, but I wasn't sure, but it's gotten bigger now and is defiantly developing

Ok so I have found a person, who i can buy 10 ducklings, of they White chilterns, has anybody ever had these, and he also had 8 geese eggs, which I'm going to buy of him, and he said he would throw in some ducks eggs aswell for me, but here is the problem, I have the 5 duck eggs in on day 5, I'm pretty sure only one is fertile, but I only have one incubator, What do I do, don't geese and ducks take them same length as ducks to hatch so I can put them in together but what do I do about the one duck egg that I think is Fertile, should I put it in with them, and let it it hatch and when it does take it out, or should I put it in the brooder, and mist it? Or should I just take it out and l throw it away?

I've never hatched geese, but according to this chart, they could take a bit longer than the ducks, but are in the same basic range. Same temp and humidity recommendations, so I would think they would hatch together. I hatched ducks and turkey together.

As far as the one duck egg on day 5 already, since it came from your own flock, if it were me, I would try to save it. It may be difficult, depending on your humidity settings, and if you have an automatic turner or not, but I bet it can be done!

Kathy, shame on you, didn't you tell me one time, that chart was inaccurate?
