I just remembered her and the production reds got out once before pulling eggs and my free ranger roos must be daddy. Those buggers were the horniest roos I've ever had.

Ok now I'm stumped as it doesn't have 5 toes and if it were free rangers it would as they were silkie/Cochin x ss. Well either its cute, can't wait til it dries out and I can take pics to share.

Ok, so I get home from work today and I notice there IS a nasty smell coming from the bator. So I decided to go ahead and candle. :/ One egg was completely dark no air sac or anything. The other was dark where the chick should be but air sac was still there intact. By smell I believed the one that was dark had died so I took it outside to take a look and there was a fully developed chick inside. I can't tell if it was already dead or if I accidentally killed it (I couldnt stand to take a closer look, I buried it). It should have had a visible air sac though, right? I hope I didnt take out the wrong one. I'm not touching the other one for another few days. If it explodes it explodes. Tell me what you think about the one I removed, though....

Well the smell seems to be leaving the incubator so I think I took out the right one. Too bad. I was sure that one would make it in the beginning. It seemed to be the stronger of the two. The most movement. I was very very careful when I removed the other egg. I didnt change its position when I held the flashlight up to it and carefully replaced it. I am hoping maybe that one will still pull thru. I'll give it a couple of days.

Sorry the one didn't work out Julie, hopefully the other will.

So far 7 pipped. Hope more hatch soon this little guy is very lonely!

Thanks - I'm beating myself up. Ugh. Hatching is not for the sensitive! lol I thought I saw slight movement when I candled the one, so hopefully it'll work out.

HE/SHE IS SO CUTE!!!!!
