Hatching eBay Pomeranian Geese- Day 25

Quick update, I put a safety hole in each last night.
I was probably just paranoid but they had been shadowing for such a long time I was worried they could be shrink wrapped.
Today they’re both internally and externally pipped.
One was backwards though so I’m watching it for any issues, it doesn’t appear to have an egg tooth so I may help it out once it’s absorbed the yolk and the veins are dried out.

They’re very vocal, rocking their eggs and cheeping all morning, it makes me happy 😊

I’ll put something for traction before bed tonight in case they decide to make their exit overnight. A9DBB689-01AA-4C81-B555-44162A3AF413.jpeg 1608D693-68D7-4C39-B984-C0BC21E7D8A7.jpeg

Backwards gosling broke through the membrane in the air cell and started breaking the safety hole with its hocks, i chipped a portion where it I put some athletic tape on it for it to push against if it wants but it’s not through with absorption so it’s going to have to hang on a little while longer.
The other one is zipping, included somewhere photos of that one.

Congrats. I'm brand new to incubating and have 7 hen eggs in my Nuture Right at day 10. Trial run for when my young, under 1 year old, Sebbies maybe try to lay eggs next month.

Questions...how are your 2 goslings and do you think making a small hole in the one's shell helped? Did you spray the eggs and/or cool them once a day later in the incubation process? The photos of your goslings are awesome!!!!
Thank you!
The goslings are 11 days old now and doing great, I was concerned about splay leg but they're on indoor/outdoor carpet and haven't had any issues.
The safety hole probably wasn't needed, but I don't think it did any harm.
I did try to take them out once a day and spray with room temp water for my last rotation of the day (I turned by hand) once I stopped rotating I stopped misting.
I highly recommend the Goose Incubation & Hatching Guide, it was nice going back and reading when I was uncertain of things.
I'm glad you like the pictures!

Congratulations on your hatch! We recently hatched out our first chickens and ducks from our flock and will be putting our first goose eggs in the hatcher on Wednesday. Goslings are the sweetest!
Thank you!
Aren't they!? I've got one snuggled up on my lap now, they're so precious <3
Best of luck with your hatch, if you do a hatch along drop a link, I'd love to follow!
