How hard is it to incubate the eggs? I am considering getting an incubator and incubating eggs instead of buying chickens. What is your experience? I am new to all things chicken.

Quote:Incubating is not hard & quite addictive. HOWEVER, if you hatch eggs you don't know what you'll be getting. If you buy locally you can usually get all pullets (unless you're buying bantams). If you hatch them out you might have several roos in the bunch, & you'll have to figure out what to do with them. Just something to consider.
