This question might already be answered elsewhere, but I'm thinking of trying to incubate some of our eggs to see what kind of chickens we get. I have a Barred Rock Roo who gets around with his ladies, we have many different breeds of hens including buff orpington, rhode island red, cuckoo maran, ameracauna, brahama, speckled sussex, black sex links, and leghorns.

Some of the things I'm researching are:
If we hatched some of the eggs would this cross create an existing mutt breed of chicken?
What colors could I expect from the eggs?
Could I breed for an olive egg laying hen?

Thanks in advance!

The picture is my roo his name is Roofio from the movie HOOK!

I have no idea, I would try posting this in the genetics forum. I'm guessing you would get a lot of barred and black chicks since those are dominant colors.
