Maybe someone can explain to me how I caught a bird in a mouse trap. Didn't have much bait on it if any after the rain. I'm not even sure what kind of bird it was.

I don't know about rare, I don't see them much. White birds turn some people off. BBS is what you see the most.
I think to most, white birds are seen as meat birds. I mean look at the cornish x and now the White Bresse.

I got home from work and collected 8 eggs, 4 German New Hampshires and 4 Icelandic....all freezing cold, two actually split open.....high today was 13 F....when I went to work it was 0...and is forecast to be the same tonight. I put Vaseline on the New Hampshire cockerel's comb last night....first time ever doing this and his comb looked fine tonight at lock-up so maybe he'll keep all his points. Can we just skip February and get on to March and some warmer weather?!

I was outside about every 45 minutes today changing water and looking for eggs

My keet got out one time and one was in the mouse trap. It was penned in the trap too, like its foot or something. Didn't seem to hurt it.

Sorry, not the same but similar.

I think they are more often taken by predators. That is what I have read. I like white birds. I am even thinking of keeping the whites I have and breeding them. Not sure it is worth it though.
I like the White Legbars and White EEs. White birds that lay pretty colored eggs. I don't free range mine so I have nothing to worry about there.
