Good news! My heat light finally went off in the coop - which means is is above 20 degrees out - yea!!! a warm spell... time to break out the t-shirts and shorts!

Hey everyone, just thought you'd like an update:

Rachael just told me her MIL now has pneumonia and is being sent home Monday under hospice.

Hi

My MIL is going home to die on hospice, that's what is going to happen. I am starting to get eggs. Olandsk dwarf, tolbunt, CCL so it looks right on time for Spring eggs or maybe even early. I may or may not be around. I might be here just to distract myself.

All my chickens are set up it only took me 45min to do all the chicken chores today.

Awww, Rachael. I just caught up on the thread from yesterday and read about your MIL. I'm so sorry. You and your family will be in my prayers.

Heat Lamps - When do you all shut off the heat lamps? I worry so much about cold chickens. I keep light on almost everything. My elect. bill for the barn last month was more than the house. I have had lamps on my Seramas since October.

Good morning! Woke up to 1 more OE hatched and 1 SFH zipping! All the eggs are coated in yolk and blood from the chicks dragging yolk sac around.

I am bidding on some rare chicks from GFF on RBA

The auction doesn't end until tomorrow, but they are my b-day present to myself. Plan on spending part of my b-day doing housework, sounds like fun eh? I also have to shovel out from all that snow! Now I wish I had a shorter driveway!
