I am hoping to be able to meet Meg and go with her to the Maryland Sheep and Wool festival in May. If I can take a few extra days, I will be able to stay with her a little longer and meet some of you all!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Donna,

What do you mean by white lavender AMs? Sounds like something I would want...

You might hatch some... or did you get Lavenders from me? They are popping up. I have rec white in my lavenders and CRFarm hatched 2 whites. I hatched 1 a long time ago.... guessed it was a SPORT. Grew her up hatched some of her eggs, got 2-3 whites. I have a pair now.... I am think of breeding them. They have Silver in them and rec white.... that combo makes the BEST whites from what I have read. The whites have also hatch LAVENDER with a lot of yellow down and feather in with some lavender but turn white as they get older.

I can either breed the pullet back to the Lavender roo (must carry rec white) and get more or breed her to her brother. I think I like the first option better. I need LOTS more pens for PAIRS and TRIOS

Just remembered my second question - I'm getting request from people to hatch eggs for them. Do any of you do this and if so, how much do you charge??
$2 per egg/with a waiver. We also will search and out source eggs for breeds we dont have and hatch for them as well. They take everything from the breed that hatches, and pay for the cost of the eggs plus $2 per egg additional.

Does anyone have a spare Marans Pullet or Hen. I have this lovely Marans roo who can't wait for his girls to grow up. Right now he is servicing some of my EE's. Lol..... Doesn't matter on the color but they need to be feather legged. Probably need to be shipped unless I am close enough to pick up.

I can look in the eating egg flock tomorrow for you. I bet there is a blue copper or splash girl in there.

well if I win the am eggs and they hatch out with anything other than slate legs, I will just have some pretty EE's.... prettier than I have now!
If you want Pretty EE's (I am bias of course) I would be happy to bring you a few/bunch/slew. We have to come that way to pick up the new bator/hatcher in mid to late February.

Need advice. this little chock orp was hatched a few weeks ago and for a little over a week has had an enlarged crop and vent area. thought it may be impacted crop so i gave him eggs with
400
yogurt and olive oil. any idea what it may be and what to do?
He was a greenfire egg

Quote: UPDATE: We are back from our date night and I wanted to let everyone know that is interested in the Husky 100 lb. Tuff Bins that Celtic pictured to call their local Home Depot and ask them if they have the product. The HD website said my local store did not carry them and I took the printed page from the website down to the store to ask if they could order some for me. The clerk put the info in the computer and said, "We have 10 in stock." She said never to trust the website for in store stock info....ALWAYS call your local store and speak to customer service there. So......I now have 4 super cool brooders/or maybe nest boxes!! Thanks again Celtic for sharing your ingenious idea!!

Do you know if he is pooping????

No external pips yet, I know I know, still early yet, but one can hope. Alright, will walk away from them and check in the morning. Come on Muscovys, pip for momma. :)

Off to watch Bob the Builder - Dino Dig for the umpteenth time, probably followed by "Pop goes Thomas" (Thomas and Friends). Boys are wanting to cuddle and I feel like crapola, so sounds like a good plan. Have a good evening, folks. Think positive thoughts for my duckies.
