I just officially bought my very first Rhodebars!!! YAY!!! Thanks, madamwlf for allowing me to wait until I got paid to buy them!!!

My heart is absolutely broken this morning..... I put 40 eggs in lockdown yesterday. All of my seramas, my turkeys, my Cayuga ducks and SFH were safely in lockdown in my brand new hovabator genesis that I have been running for 3 weeks. I woke up this morning and the heat was out. The fan was on, but the broken thermostat said 59.

Man, I am devastated....I babied those seramas and ducks and they had all made lockdown. I quick put them in with the other incubators. They were still moving around in the egg, but I doubt they will hatch. I am so sad. I am trying to decide all morning about getting a Sportsman. It is so expensive, and like I really need more chicks. But it's really fun and about the only thing I enjoy doing since my mom died. I don't know. For as amazing and fun poultry keeping is, it sure breaks your heart sometimes too.

It is a roller coaster of day-to-day life and death.

Don't give up on them! They might be a day behind but don't give up!

I struggle to get 9 in that box and that is with smaller eggs!

If I cut an 18 egg carton in half, I can fit 12 bubble wrapped bantam eggs into the carton then bubble wrap the carton and stack then in the box. I can do 8 large eggs using a 12 egg carton with the same technique only with the tops cut off then gently taped on for protection but more space...
She just had them bubble wrapped individually the made a bubble wrap "bag" for them and set them in the box

I'm glad it didn't turn into a fight. Unfortunately, some sellers are unwilling to admit a mistake. It sounds like that is a person I would be willing to do business with again as long as she/he updates shipping method. It could just be that this was a first time shipping or something. Glad it worked out!

She actually wrote me to apologize and say that she had ran out of boxes and actually said she did A lazy job packing and wouldn't do it again. She also refunded the entire price instead of why I had asked for so I was very lucky and am happy. I told her I would definitely be contacting her about more eggs in a month or so.

Give them a chance. I had this happen on Sat night and did have a 50% hatch rate, not the best but better than nothing. The others were fully formed but didn't hatch
