I have seasonal eczema and I have to sleep with glove on after I slather my hands with creams and steroids. So far I have avoided a shot this year. It has to do with the lower humidity in the winter and if you remember we have GAS and I will never have GAS again.... to heat that is

They are harder to find than you think. The last pair I bought was nylon and they are so HOT. I bought 12 pair for under $20 and since they can cost about $5-6 each at chain stores.... seem logical.

The chicken related part is I have to wear plastic gloves for most chicken things too. Everything either drys my hands out or cuts them.... since my skin is so thin right now.

Is SPRING here YET????????

I so sorry

Ams can lay green eggs too.... they need some work in the egg color department. That is on my list, just not at the top.
I'd be curious to see where this girl's genetics came from... I got her from an old timer type chicken guy, and I couldn't hardly tell what she was, the moult she was in was awful! I suspect she's maybe an australorp/ameraucana cross? She's all black, legs, comb and head look right, but tail is a bit angled up more than my white girl who I know is pure, and her feathers have that sheen that an australorp have....

Okay guys. I need some help. I'm running out of ideas! I'm one of the organizers for the Oregon Poultry Spring Swaps. I'm in charge of the raffle. i've gotten quite a few big names involved but have had no response from some people I've contacted. Anyone have any recommends for poultry related donations for the raffle? We offer lots of free advertising and if the donation is large enough they get representation on the county fairgrounds electronic billboard and a free space as well as all sorts of other promotions. I've hit up pretty much every company that advertises on BYC. Any other ideas?

What about Wilco or Coastal? They're both local to Oregon...

Wilco are a little too corporate and want us to regulate the smaller local feed stores that are attending and they wouldn't be donating anything large so we told them no.

Eugene Backyard Farmer is doing the fall swap! :)
