Are you saying you have incubated turkey eggs twenty times and got no poults?

What breed of turkeys are you looking for?

Flocksalot, yep -- well, twenty-plus eggs, not twenty-plus times! Possibly more than that, I've lost count. My first two attempts I got development and then had incubator meltdowns. I finally got my incubator situation stable (to the point where I feel comfortable ignoring it for days at a time instead of checking it obsessively every two hours -- how cool is that?) but my next three (four?) turkey attempts got no development whatsoever. Probably due to the USPS, or shipping in Dec/Jan, or both. So yeah, I keep trying! I've got bourbon red eggs coming from AyeUpChuck in a few weeks, and Narragansetts coming from WVstruttin :) My other fantasy turkeys are the white hollands and the tiger bronze -- boy, those are handsome! Someday...

I have a Sportsman incubator issue that I hope someone can help me with.

My humidity is 64% but because of the forced air, the chicks are getting shrink wrapped unless they hatch really quick. I just helped 6 chicks out - one died and the rest I helped are questionable. What can I do to help deflect the air or something so this stops?!

I was having the same problem with my big incubator, which requires two fans to keep temps even throughout. I hate to say, my solution was to build a still-air hatching incubator

Works great! I incubate in the big one, lock down in the styrofoam cooler... Now I just need more brooders to hold the babies!

My husband said I may have to use my hovabator to hatch. That thing is so unstable during hatching, though. I would hate to have to use that thing. I swear that fries babies and costs me way more chicks.

Small hatching incubators are really easy to make! There's a lot of tutorials here on building them. Costs me under twenty bucks to whip one together at this point.

Well if you decide you want some midgets for a side swap let me know. I'm thinking those seramas would be really cute FOR MYSELF and not my son.

I won't have White Hollands available until next year as mine are only a few weeks old right now.

If I were going for eye candy I would go for porters penciled palms. They are just georgeous!

Well really all turkeys are wonderful. So are turkey hugs. I'm due to go get some here in a few minutes. Gotta tuck my babies in for the night. Yup, they ate spoilt rotten.

I have been watching the swaps, looking for Dorking or Cornish eggs, but I cant seem to catch any. So I thought I would offer a side swap. I don't care about color or show quality I am just trying to get some more meaty type birds. For trade I have Old English Game Bantam, Yellow Leg Hatch, Easter Eggers, lots of homemade jams and jellies, custom made chocolate covered cookies (these are super cute) rooted raspberry starts, or I could just buy some eggs if you don't see anything you like. Please PM me for more info or to make a deal. Thanks!

Good Luck on the cornish eggs, most don't offer them because they are horrible layers and fertility in them isn't great either. I found some 1 time and all were clear and never grew.

You are better off trying to find some chicks or started ones. I found a trio on an auction site and won them. But, that is the only time I have seen them.
