Awesome! I'll let the kid know he has mini moose coming soon. He's getting pretty proficient at tracking from incubation to hatch and reminds me that a tray needs to go into lockdown.

It is just odd.  I would think PO issues, but this is from three different people in three different areas in two different incubators with everything else hatching just fine.  Do they take a drier or wetter hatch? 

I finally got the two I got because I didn't turn the eggs at all for the first five days they were incubating.  Ronott gave me that tip on shipped eggs. 

It isn't like I am chicken deprived.  LOL I have chicks and breeds galore already and lots more coming whenever I start back hatching.  It is just frustrating that I can't get this one breed to hatch.  I even had wonderful success with the only Marans I have tried to hatch.

I need some advice regarding my puppy, Tommy. He's a 6 month old Great Pyrenees/Akbash mix. So, he's about 60ish pounds. He lives outside with the chickens and has been great with them. About a week ago he started chasing them. He catches them by the tail feathers. As soon he gets them, they squat for him, and he just stands over them, waiting for them to run again so they can play "tag". Earlier I saw him trying to drag one out of the coop (which he can't get into). Moving him or separating him from the chickens isn't an option.

Complicating this is the fact that my stupid EE rooster has started attacking me, so when I'm in the yard, if he starts to charge me, Tommy stops him by standing between us. (The rooster is not long for this world.)

The problem is that he doesn't chase them when I'm outside with them, take him down at the point when he's doing it. I'm thinking my best bet is to teach him to obey "drop it" from a distance. Any other suggestions?

yeah...I have been having issue with my dog also. Great Pyrenees / Maremma . My dog has dismembered some of mine. There is lots of good info and advice on some FB pages. Without another LGD to "train" your puppy, it is up to you to train, it is alot of dedication and work.

Of course, where you live dry incubation is what 45% humidity min? LOL I just laugh everytime someone from around here complains about the summer humidity. I do not miss having everything that couldn't get fresh air and some things that could molding, but I really miss the food and people.

My dry incubation is around 10-15%.

I do too. Try to keep it around 20ish % then 60 at lockdown. I also hatch in cartons.

I lived down there for one summer (teenage runaway in a runaway shelter....no kidding) and yeah....wow. new definition for humidity for me. although honestly, we have humid here, too. my "dry incubation" has been around 25%

Even though we have very high humidity here, I'm incubating in the house. The AC sucks out most of the humidity, so the bators usually register about 20-30% I think.
