Ok I have a ton of BBS am eggs. I am sending some out tomorrow, but still have a ton. Anyone interested please PM me. I wish everyone was laying as good as these guys.
I've received about 34 of these eggs and have 18 or 19 chicks! These things were just about exploding out of the eggs.

No more unplugged incubators here!! I had an extension cord running into my "closet" aka egg room, and I covered the whole outlet. Our outlets are old and kind of worn, so the smallest bump would be enough to cut power. This is the only way I can ensure no power outages (short of my husband actually replacing all the outlets, which he has been talking about doing for 6 months now). Guess I need to research how to do it myself

For those I owe quail eggs to, I have one hen laying (only 19 more to go)!

Those are such cute little eggs. I need to get some to make my father pickled eggs. He would love them.

And as for the outlet...awesome idea! I think I'm just going to have a room framed out in the basement just for incubators and eventually separate hatchets. I keep saying it but he doesn't always remember. DON'T TOUCH MY STUFF! He has the bad habit of doing stuff like this. I plugged it back in and will check for development next week. Then I'll start pitching. He's lucky cause he won't be here then. He did this a few years ago and had to watch as Our son cracked every egg to see the dead chick.

Ok, I thought turning 40 would really suck, but it has been an OK day. Thanks to everyone on here for the bday wishes.
Everyone already knew I disliked the USPS, but today definitely topped it, and not for me but for everyone else. My goodie box is still missing from Profti, but I am thinking it went with the missing birds. Maybe they opened it and helped themselves.
My Dad found me some 55 gallon barrels for waterers really cheap, but they were gone and had held chemicals anyway. They had 60 gallon ones for a little more that were food grade, so got some.... I am on my way to automatic waterers!! Hubby has gotten my garden ready for me to plant tomorrow. He bought me thus huge stuffed rooster from TSC that crows, the dogs love it and so do I. He also made reservations tomorrow night for dinner.
Oh, and I am selling my ducks because he told me I could buy some SQ ducks from Holderreads!! They might be able to squeeze my order in this year, but if not she said I would be first in line next year.

I'm SO glad you had a good birthday! You deserve it! When you're setting up your watering system, if you come up with improvements over what I've got, I expect you to share!

I go outside to my serema pen and this is what I found. They have all gone broody at the same time. Not sure how many eggs they are sitting on.

Well, I only have 5/15 silky ducks developing. I'll have to order some more. Meanwhile, my drake has been going to town on the hens. We're still at 100% fertility from that brute!
