Good Morning, Happy Chicken People!

I always sleep in at my folks place. No light gets in a bedroom after you close up blinds and curtains!

And I need to have a discussion with my sister about not telling me she installed wireless here! I could have used that knowledge!

Daddy is doing great. He said several times yesterday that he felt better than he had in a long time! I'll bet he does...his heart had been working overtime, but not getting much done. With the atrial fibrillation and flutter, he wasn't pumping blood properly and was tired all the time. Now we're going to have to put a leash on him. He was talking about mowing the back pasture today! I pointed out that the tractor vibration would not be good for the entrance point in his groin, so he decided to wait... a day. Stubborn old coot! But he's not one to sit around. Probably why he's 84 and in pretty good shape. He's the oldest of eight kids, and there's only him and the youngest left, and the youngest is eighteen years his junior and in worse health. Daddy is tough.

I'm headed home today. Hubby says I have to count birds! He didn't realize what was out there until he had to feed them!

So SO glad he is doing better already. is there any pain? modern medicine can be amazing.

I am sending a chick to the lab today. He was free ranger BCM that was 4 month old, but half the size of his brother and sister. He was acting fine, but I took the opportunity to cull and ship him, since it cost a lot less. Is sill costing almost $70 (all my chicken savings ) but I want piece of mind. Will post when I hear back.

It's a good thing everyone has different tastes! Some of my friends think I'm nuts for keeping chickens! And others think I'm nuts for having four big dogs, for raising my own wool and spinning my own yarn. Those dolls aren't my cup'o'tea, either, but to each their own. I think they are creepily cute, but would not sleep well with one in my house! LOL!

I love how eclectic this group is, and that we all come together over chickens!
