Lilwanis: Seems like you are having a bad day. Go to the computer and order yourself about twenty five new baby chicks. Get the ones that will never lay many eggs and are way too scrawny to eat. You deserve it. And if anyone gives you any grief get 50 instead! You'll be ok and remember that the kids are worth it.

Yea some good info. So today is day 26 and I tell myself I need to toss eggs after Church and bleach out the incubator. I come back to a Ranger chick hatched out and another is on the way. Tossed the 1 month olds out today and I think they did not like it but

I think the need to get out get some sun scratch and get used to older birds. Older birds just ignored them.

I actually of heard of sellers doing this, creating an account, bidding and doing a non payment, just to put other sellers in bad standings. Can't recall where I heard that. You can change your settings as a seller to only allow certain rated customers to bid to help prevent that, eBay should refund the auction price due to non payment. It says so in the help section.
good tip... thanks!!! Its been 10 days and still no resolution from Ebay!!!

Found someone who is going to lend me their large incubator mid may so I do t have to buy one so ill be stepping up my game big time.

One question does the wax that one would have to use to wax over cracks in eggs have to be any particular kind? The only wax I have is from scented candles :/

In the mean time the snow is slllooowly Melton here in Alaska.

I don't like to use wax, it never works for me. I use Super glue and have never had a problem with it. I have an egg in the incubator right now with super glue on a nice big crack and there is a baby chick growing inside it.

:gig thank you for the laugh! And thanks folks for bearing with my whining. We also had to scrap my step son's car today. However, we had a very productive weekend and I am laughing about the car troubles in general.

MZSTRE

Sorry, my system will not let me quote your post. Splash are occasionally hatched from my DLBB project and so far most of the Splash I have hatched have been boys. I do not use Splash in my program but they occasionally pop up.

The chicks you hatched (that are not Splash) are Blue. The blue is not obvious until they are 2-3 months old. All the chicks look black when they are young.

Hatch Notice

Last week I wrote that I had received 9 icelandic eggs from thebirdguy and was totally impressed that 7/9 were developing. All 7 of those made it to lockdown, and all 7 hatched!!! Super healthy and robust chicks!!! Thank you!!!! I have had several great hatches back to back from this paypal swap. Thank you all !!!!
