So Krafty, it looks like the 2 older bantam orps are roosters! Napoleon has 2 of his offspring and I hope they turn out like him.......at least in looks anyway.

That is crazy!
Just a thought...
There is enough of everyone on this thread that should have every breed/color that one could want. I would like to make a suggestion that we all should consider contacting one another and help each other out. Swapping, selling, buying, etc. So things like that above do not keep happening. Kinda like the "buy local" idea. A lot of us are not local to each other, but I think we know each other pretty well, in terms of chicken....don't ya think?
That is so true...but some of us are impatient

I will be helping out too...I have narrowed my breed list to just a few...all colors (but buff) Orpingtons, Ameraucanas in Blue Wheaten and Lavender, Rhodebars, White Rhode Islands, Wheaten Marans, Sumatras, Pheonix, Yokohama (those three for hubby, he likes tail

) Bantam Cochins, Spangleds, Bantam Black Sumatra and Seramas....I think that's it...well, cayugas and turkeys also. Oh and Black and White Bresse! Maybe Barnies if I get any.
Now that I look at that...it's not a few is it?

Night guys, hard days work = head hitting pillow super early. No WoW time for me... :O(

(Might not have been so bad. IF I could have gotten my 18 yr old off her butt to help. Silly teenager, can't live with them, can't kill them.....)

Yes, you can wire it in in place of the thermowafer and upgrade yourself to a digital easliy! If you need a wiring diagram I can probably help - I put a similar on on my cabinet. Only thing I don' t like is the one I got is only in C and I can only adjust by a full degree C (which is quite an adjustment in F)...

x2 I wish it was F and not C. I have gotten used to it though. I have one on the hatcher and Incubator.

Oh man, you guys have been cracking me up all day! I've been flat out the past -- how many hours? I slept from 7 till around 10:30 this morning but other than that it's been move, scrub, organize, build coops, run to Lowe's for more lumber, move birds, scrub out more cages, feed, water, reorganize and try to make some sense of the barn which is still a disaster area. I'm really hoping by this weekend I have some time to take pictures!! I have baby chicks and adolescents and one $25 chicken tractor finished with two more in progress (sat down, did the math, realized $25 was the absolute most I could spend on supplies for little portable coops, then spent the next three weeks trying to figure out how to accomplish that goal...) and I really want to show off all my pretties! Ah well, soon... and in the meantime, you guys kept me laughing every time I sat down for five minutes to take a break. Thank you

Ted, good luck with your finals! Michelle, hopefully I'll be joining you for the swap meet, and big hugs!

I have to agree. It's been a long time since I got hatching eggs anywhere else :) Kitchenchick, I'm so sorry you went through that!

PS... I can have you a dozen in a few days

That is so fabulous, Angel, I can't even tell you

I am actually a terrible cook, which is why I was so thrilled with myself. I can burn water. seriously.

Well, I've never burned water, but I did burn the bottom of a pot out that the water used to be in once, does that count??

I love my yokohamas! Can't wait for them to grow up a little more :)

I really have to stop getting new breeds. At least till I've got everyone I have now, have hatching, or have coming housed in their own little coops!
