Happy New Year! I am sad that I had to miss out on the fun last night, but I hosted a Champagne tasting last night so I was a bit crazy taking care of guests. Every time I tried to sneak away, someone followed, lol. Being a New Year's baby has perks, but unfortunately for me, saying I would rather play on a chicken forum than the champagne tasting, is not a perk I enjoy. I tried to have an end time of 10pm, but no one believes me when I say I want to turn in early. Ah well, it has been a good birthday so far, and I have some new people to stock for chickens. I only had PayPal to offer (I can knit a nice scarf, but I didn't think there would be interest in that).

How did everyone's hatch go?

Happy birthday, Lilwanis! I don't know, a champagne tasting sounds like a pretty good time too, actually! Hatch here is just barely starting -- three pips, and a random cheep here and there... I'm not expecting them to really show up till tomorrow.

Thank you! I had a good time. Champagne tasting was what I wanted to do before chicken swapping started to become an addiction, lol. It was nice and some pretty good champagne was had by all. Huge range too, from really crisp to really dry.

so I'm in a predicament. I have one serama egg in lockdown with a bunch of other eggs. What am I going to do with one serama chick if it hatches? Can I put bantams with it? I have a few bantams in lockdown too. Silkies and wyandottes.
