Please keep your fingers crossed! The heat lamp I ran to the coop last night for my broody somehow came unplugged. No hatched chicks yet. She got up to drink and they felt only just warm :/ I'm trying not to get too upset as there is still time but I'm feeling a little discouraged. Just wish all these babies would come out so I could feel less anxious!!!!!!

I just ordered eggs of Silver and Partridge Rock..... I have a Partridge roo and he needs some friends.

I just don't like the way they look. Hmm, I'm taking a trip to St. Louis area in the next few weeks or sew to pick up chicks. How far are you from St. Louis?

My pair are from eggs I got from Cheryl Cohen by the way.

Well I just checked my silver penciled rocks and they are all dead. One got into position to pip, but did not pip even internally. One looks like it quit a couple days ago and the third was upside down in the shell and died without pipping. I set 19 eggs and got nothing. I just don't know what is going wrong all of a sudden. I had good size air cells and all three looked good going into lock down.

I've had lots of problems with chicks dying after lockdown, but only on shipped eggs.

Three BCMs hatched last night but the one in the video didn't make it. I am happy with the three though
