Oh speaking of shipping

incase you didnt know this

if you Click n Ship (pay postage at home and print shipping label) is will save you a BUNDLE!!!

Chick boxes from horizon take 4-6 days to get here to FL and have been longer than that ever. Those are our large orders for re-sell (we are a distributor)
That's what I use. Especially for express! Huge savings. I have to buy chick boxes later this winter. First time shipping chicks.

PO's dont police NPIP how ever some states are VERY strict and will fine you and the person receiving if the rules arent followed. Some states require entry permits as well as NPIP.

Hi,
I have been researching about shipping chicks, and cannot seem to get a straight answer. Do you need to be npip to ship day olds or older birds? When you ship does the po even ask for npip papers? Thanks.
You are suppose to be but most POs don't even ask. Some states you absolutely have to be to ship in or out. Virginia is one.

First time you ship lives is stressfull, it gets easier for sure. We have a great system now and it is different for chickens than ducks and geese
I've shipped older birds. This will be my first time shipping day olds. Someone needs to write up a Shipping Day Olds for Dummies guide, from setting the eggs to shipping the chicks.

Would you recomend becoming npip before shipping live chicks? How would I know which states require entry permits? Thanks again.

We need a list of everyone's username on RBA. I would hate to bid against one you.

My user name on RBA is the same as on here. I have been reluctant to place many bids as I do not want to bid against anyone here. If you do get a list going, please share
Thanks.

YES to NPIP before you ever send anything including hatching eggs.

Once NPIP you get to spend time emailing or calling every state you think you may ship to and find out their requirements. Or wait till you have a buyer and do it then. ( I like to be overly prepared lol)
