Me too.... I had some die when they pipped upside down, but I try really hard to look at them all daily to catch that. My hatcher get humidity up QUICK so I dont have to worry too much about humidity.
Anyone have a salmon Faverolle rooster they don't need?
That's why I'm glad to have a hatcher. Neither the incubator or the hatcher ever have to be adjusted once set. I'm incubating duck eggs in the hatcher since the humidity stays up high enough for them. I just go in a few times a day and turn them.I hatch my eggs in the turner upright. I take apart the turner to clean anyways, so cleaning a mess is not a problem.
I do not bother the eggs or bator but one time, and that is on day 18 to candle and change humidity level. I believe that many people mess with the bator too much and wonder why they have
low hatch rates.
Don't let them get to you. Some just don't understand what it takes to better a breed and not everyone has tons of money and land to house every chicken they hatch!! I'm thrilled when someone answers my CL ads and says we'll take all your extra roosters. Woo hoo for me.we run hatchers so the pulp cartons never effected anything. We are also in Florida land of humidity. lol
I dont get people..........beginning to wonder why I ever post about breeding and culls, all it does is bring out the pet flock people who like to bash and cause trouble![]()

we process many roosters for the dogs....... feeding three great pyrenees ads up and they work hard daily so I never mind processing for them to have a good meal.
