Give it 5 years and the Cream Legbars will be in the standard!

5 Breeders, breeding for 5 years and showing for 5 years too..... might be a little longer. Not easy to get in the APA. There would have to be a standard submitted by a Club (I think). Cuckoo Marans are coming up in 2013 and I am afraid they will not be admitted at that first show. We will see there are far too many out there without feathered legs and gold leakage. I think the BCM had to have a couple of shows to make it in.

I would NOT be offering chicks on swap if it was 50 to send each one. I have sent them as cheap as 17 for 6 chicks and that IS express mail.

Thanks for the information! I want to offer to mail chicks, but am concerned about the price I would need to pay to get them there.......There have been those who wanted me to send serama chicks, but I am NOT comfortable sending them newly hatched as they are so small and delicate.

I will send Serama chicks ONLY if they are overnight from me. You can put the zips in the calculator and it will tell you the delivery date.

We are working on it-the club is being formed now, and the standard is almost finished.

Walt (Fowlman) is an APA judge and Chairman of the American Poultry Association's Standard of Perfection Committee. He has been coaching us as we work towards this goal.

PO won't guarantee overnight on lives. I had chickens shipped to me over night from less then 300 miles away and it took two days. Both shipping address and and delivery address were under 50 miles from a major airport.

So the hatching gods must have been smiling down on me...just had my first 100% hatch from shipped eggs...Juststruttin sent me 10 OE's, 5 OE/DLBB and 5 Legbar/Penedesenca, and all TEN hatched!! I even have a couple of blue and one that looks like it may be a splash. I am still in shock and absolutely over the moon

Oh, and forgot to add I also had some CL hatch, five pullet chicks and one roo, I can't believe it! LOL.

Sending out good hatching vibes in the hopes that the good luck catches!!!
