Holy cow you all have been chatty today!! No wonder, tho as I read back through... Let's see... Yes I am one of those who is sad about eggs that most likely will not arrive

but I know that some of them will be replaced by others and a BIG THANKS to you mods who are trying so hard to remedy that, especially since it wasn't your fault... Honestly, I'm saddest about the Wheaten Marans, I would like to breed them, no one around here has them, that I can find, well, no one around here as ANY of the other amazing eggs being offered, but I know I won't have any problem selling chocolate egg-layers around here...

CUTE chicks, I am DYING to set mine for NYDH next week

Sooo glad I got the ok from DH to use the unfinished part of the basement to brood temporarily, my kiddos are super excited, too, they ask everyday if we can put the eggs in the incubator yet, lol!

So sorry for those of you with sick kiddos, my 18month old has been fussy and not happy the last few days, and at his well-child today, found out he has a double ear infection, I'm amazed he hasn't been MORE grumpy, poor little guy....

WV... I LOL'd your comment about fluffy things, and then the others about the Dickey...hehe, someday, someday I'll have one too

9gerian, I would have cried too over those eggs, wow....it does seem like common sense that eggs don't generally like to be bumped together, tho...

I received my brinsea high powered ova scope candler recently. Used it a few times and am very happy with it overall. Have 11 eggs going into lockdown on Wednesday evening. Candled today and all eleven have movement.

The candler really illuminates the eggs and I'm glad I got it. Has anyone else used this?

I have been wanting one really bad. It is on my Christmas wish list. Do you think it was worth the price?

I was having trouble candling my eggs, and I said something to my DH, he went out the pickup, and brought in the flashlight we had bought. Got it at wal-mart. Its a coleman max. Wow is it bright, cost around 25$ I think. First time I have been ever able to see the fetus actually move!!! I mean, I could tell it was a chick and all, but never seen movement before. It was so cool, I hope that works well for you!!!
I really didn't expect it to work that well but it's cool seeing them move, I totally agree!

I can't wait to try it on CCL eggs..

Daloorashens, I hope your little one feels better. I remember how awful ear infections were. It's amazing how well some kids handle it though. Poor guy!

The Wheatens are also the ones I am disappointed about. Oh, well. Live and learn.

I thought it might be an ear infection to. We will be sitting at the docs office waiting for an appointment tomorrow morning.

That is a horrific packing job with so many eggs. Either complete inexperience, and little thought... Or completely laziness and lack of consideration. I hope the shipper was reasonable about a refund or reshipment, and took some advice on how to properly ship eggs!!

Oh, I got two!

And I just had to post this picture even though it was from my eggs. The smallest serama chick I've ever hatched.

Deb

I am just finally getting a peek on here today -- withdrawal bad. Then just when I get started need to go feed and check on the horses. Don't they have a chore fairy for something?

Deb, I need to get a pic and have hubby put it on here of the two serama chicks we hatched from you. Hubby really likes them (serama are his) and they are really pretty babies. He wants to know if all of yours, like this one here, are battery powered. ha, funny

Does anyone know where I can buy SQ OEGB. I would really like Crele. I have some Silver Duckwing coming in the spring. I have not been able to find the bantams. In the area we live folks LOVE them and there is a market for them. I do want quality birds though.
