Because they are the original importer of the breed, does that make "Joe Somebody" who has gotten eggs/birds from them able to sell their birds for more money? I mean if there are not that many here, are they not ALL from the "original" ones who came over?
Yes, they are from the original ones but why buy from Joe Somebody who is selling the same birds/eggs at the same price as GFF? If that's the case, I'm going to GFF or would if I didn't know how terrible their customer service is now.

They look diseased to me. Every time I see this picture reminds me of the elephant man. (I know there's a real name for that condition.) No, the birds don't have that disease. These are "ga dong tao" and are raised for their legs, a delicacy (I forget which country).

There is nothing DELICATE about those legs

Yeah, I couldn't read the writing on the internet. There are other pictures too. Just scary looking.

It's about supply and demand. How much are you willing to pay to get them now? How much are you willing to pay to not have to wait until everyone else has them and the price comes down. Some people just want the novelty. They want what nobody else has, so price doesn't matter.

glad that you cleared that up, I thought that they had a serious case of scaley leg mites...sorry -- but they look like they are in pain.

Yeah, look at the CCL. Their price has come way down and one hatchery will be offering them next year.

Does any one know if Wayne813 has Wheaten Marans. I have a bator full of eggs and only 6 of those in there and I don't want them exploding all over my eggs?
