Hatching Eggs / Paypal CHAT Thread

I am sorry, I tried to find a website that had information on how to ship eggs like that, but haven't found it yet

Debs_flock ships like that, it is great. Its a foam pipe that's exactly the right size for an egg. If I remember correctly she also wraps the egg in paper towel before putting into the foam, then uses sections of the foam taped to the open ends to keep them from falling out.

I have no problem giving roosters away. Obviously no one is going to buy them. I've seen roosters on there that people try to sell and I see them every week. I list them for free. They could be dinner or someone's new pet. I don't need to know.
ditto!

I just candled last night and there are some Serama in there. Hopefully they hatch on the right day for shipping. 1st I forgot the presidents holiday then I thought thanksgiving was a week later than it was then I ran out of boxes. It takes some planning to ship chicks. I'm stocked up on boxes, heat pads and grogel now I just need the chicks to hatch on the correct days. So I can as my DH says "shove it in a box and mail it" I prefer place it in the box and ship it.

I will keep my fingers crossed these little chickies cooperate!!

I want to swap to lol

Walli - these are the 7 chicks that hatched from your eggs. Two eggs had been marked Orps but only one made it to lockdown (front chick) and the others are all SFH. There is one squished in the back there that is the same color as the Orp but with a yellow belly. Do you get SFH in that color? Two other SFH eggs made it to lockdown, one was peeping at me for over a day, internally pipped but then died (that one was almost all yellow with a faint stripe down its back) and the other didn't do anything.

So far they have been happy and healthy. Hoping for some hens to go with the roos that I already have. Thanks again!

Yea!!! for both of you! I am so glad they are hatching for you! That one in the back does look just like a splash orp, with the slate legs and all. Did I miss marking one of her eggs? My splash orps have not hatched out with yellow bellies though. I hope for you it is a blue SFH and yes, they do come in blue and I want a blue one SOOOOO badly. Now you are going to make me a hatching fool this spring trying to get one!
The dark chick will probably feather out something like this:
