Well what was disturbing and entertaining at the same time is when I found a litter of baby mice. Most of the chickens weren't interested, but it only takes one to grab and run for the show to start. I didn't stay for dessert.

do I want to admit it but I pay $28 per bag for organic layer feed and scratch.  (ducks head and hides)  hey...it's a local company and I like to support local!

We pay about the same for layer but less for scratch. We order from Coyote Creek, an organic mill in TX, and have it shipped by freight. I will say, though, that the feed lasts us much longer than the commercial crumbles or pellets because it is not cooked or processed and thus retains more nutrients.

Each picture is one breed according to GFF. I got 4 eggs from 4 different breeds.

I was hoping to do a few more swaps yesterday and today but the thread kinda stalled.

I had told myself that this was the last week/weekend too for my eggs.

I am going to check one more time and then head to bed!!!
