if anyone has a wheaten roo/cockerel they would like to let go, let me know. I have one wheaten hen and she is with my blues at the moment. Her little cockerel mate died not too long after arriving.

What kind of wheaten? I have 1 splash and 2 blue wheaten am roos.... I don't want them to be eaten......

Me either. these I picked up are at point of lay so I am pretty excited to be able to work with them. Beautiful color and he gave me some pointers. They came out of his breeder pen so I am tickled. Plus he said when I start hatching that he would help me out with which to keep and breed and his advice. Nice man.
it's so hard as the sussex are new to me. i have orp shape down pretty well, but still trying to get the sussex together. maybe you can pm me any specific pointers he shared? :) I bought the flock off cheryl at The Omelet Ranch who hatched and grew out his eggs but she decided to focus on some different breeds so i literally bought about 30ish birds from here and gonna narrow down to two pens of 5-6 birds to be my breeding group... but so hard for me to choose!!

A new chick has entered the world!!!

I have no idea what she is :) She's the sole hatchling of my poor secret Santa eggs that suffered through fluctuating temperatures and transfer to a new incubator. She's cute as heck, and very sturdy!

Her "long" feathers are distinctly gold, with a grayish/brownish undercoating. She's got the cutest little trilling chirp, unlike anything I've heard from my other peepers so far :) I haven't decided what to call her yet, but welcome to the world, little chickie!

he just gave me pointers on the coloring to look for close to the skin and talked about the conformation of those I was buying. I don't think he would mind talking with you at all especially about birds that came from his breeding. If you like I can send you his email and you can contact him. he told me he would be happy to look at pics and give advice on the next breeding step once I hatch out some chicks from these.
