Thank you Cj. =) The chicken coop itself was already built when we ordered it - it was delivered. The metal Serama ones my husband designed and built right down to the latches. Unfortunately I'm a space cadet, and when I went home on Sunday to clear out the Serama room...I took the hinges that we bought with me, so instead of coming home and getting them he just fabricated some. I'm glad I took the others with me because I like the way his work, much more than the hinges from Lowe's. =/

SO happy we didn't lose power last night! We had a CRAZY wind storm and it was an obstacle course just to get to the house! The bator did lose a few degrees because the door to the office was unlocked and got blown open so it was much colder than normal. but it only got to about 98 degrees for an hour or so.

And in other good news I get my new wood burning tool today so I can put people's farm/names on the egg carriers and maybe little chickens and eggs etc! They should look really ace! I can't' wait to decorate the first one!

Oh man, how scary! Yeah, that would've been awful. Hopefully they'll all be fine!

Chicken coop where the NJ live and where the WCBP will live. We didn't build this one, we purchased it from chickencoopcondos.com

The roost you see partially on the ground was pulled out because I was (and still am) trying to train them to go *in* the coop at bedtime, not outside. It will be put back in place when they have the hang of things.

That's about all that is going on here. I candled the eggers again and I only had to toss 1 of them, the rest look good.

Actually, that was several evenings. I started Saturday night. Just finished watching the last movie. Those movies are so long it takes me all weekend to watch them.
