I had two hatches ago lose power on two occasions. The temp went as low as 82 degrees. The ones that were 14 days in hatched just fine. The ones that were 4 days in didn't make it. I think it depends upon what stage of development they are. Bear in mind I am still a newbie in comparison to most of you guys, but that was my experience. So is eight hours not too long then?![]()
Woo Hoo! Glad that they made it safe and sound. Which ones were these?I'll wrap those 'bators before the next storn. This storm was supposed to miss us. I surely didn't expect to lose power.
The cockerel flew right out when we peeked in the box and we got to chase him around the house and up the stairs before we caught him. Yah, I think they're ok, just a little a hungry and thirsty, which we took care of.

Your cockerel and my cockerel may have been on the same truck or flight...and had an escape plan formulated by discussions through box holes.Mine did the same exact thing (without the staircase).![]()
