I am so sorry. It is hard to loose them isn't it? I can't figure out how it is so easy to get attached to an egg!

Once you see growth and movement, you just can't help it. It's a living, growing thing. And we are animal lovers. Just like that lone turkey egg I had last year, that grew, but I guess my humidity wasn't high enough. I still blame DH. he jinxed it because he named it already.

with turkey eggs when you go into lockdown, the higher the humidity the better. I try to keep mine at least 90%

Well, finished cleaning out the incubator, none hatched. Power went off on the 30th and was off for 17 hours. I candled and float tested, no movement. Oh well, better luck in spring. I seriosly need to buy a generator.
Sorry here that. How do you know on the float test if the eggs are still good I have 4 eggs left and I can't tell by candeling if their alive or not so I want try the float test. .

If they are alive they usually wiggle. leave them in the warm water for at least a minute
