I trim maybe 1/4 to 1/2 inch off of it and that's it. The one I'm using right now has been trimmed at all and I've had no issues with it.Do you cut them or trim them in any way? I'm thinking about trying this method.

As srpaint stated, when? We've already seen her birds haven't been replaced yet. Oh, I know which birds these are. Horrible absolutely horrible. It was actually Rachael's, but, yes, it will be replaced.
They do seem to try to replace Rachael's pretty quickly-maybe because she is their best customer? As srpaint stated, when? We've already seen her birds haven't been replaced yet. Oh, I know which birds these are. Horrible absolutely horrible.
Seriously, I just don't think they care. They are getting their money but loosing birds because of their carelessness. Poor babies.
Maybe you are actually getting juvies instead of what they normally send: very young birds. Weren't they mailed yesterday? Shouldn't you have them already?Man I'm so nervous now! She said in an email last week that they'd be 7-9weeks old and I thought....those are still chicks! Older chicks mid you but wouldn't you call a 12+ wk old a juvenile. Maybe that's just me. What worries me is that she sent two boxes. If they're that young surely it would be better to send them in one box? ESPECIALLY if you're not going to put any sort of warmers. I jut don't get why they go through so much trouble to make their website look so professional but then just completely slack on the other end.... I'm just praying that these birds are old enough to really ship well together.
I really need to dig up the email Jenny sent me about they are so busy, have no time to answer emails, don't really make any money off these birds, blah blah blah. It was quite entertaining to read. That is really sad. Pretty feathers are only going to get them so far. Word of mouth is the most power form of marketing so they are seriously jeopardizing their business with this crappy customer service. Plus really...poor birds.
You know this is going to make me stalk you even more than I already do, right?Laura, I got some info for you! I have been corresponding with someone near me who has gorgeous BLRW! He is NPIP and I had asked him a couple of months ago about it. I just asked him about AI and here is what he said:
He is due to have it done again in early February, so he thought it would be a great idea to do mine the same day. Hopefully my birds aren't too young yet and I can be tested in another month!.![]()
