I am bidding on the 12 GFF Cream Legbar chicks on RBA. It is there new 2013 line.
As an FYI, according to the details it a mix of old and new. I'd hate to have you think you'll be getting all new line when it looks like it'll be a mix. Just looking out. It'll be interesting to see how high it goes though.

I see that, it says at least half. The new line is beautiful! Sigh.... Does it ever end???

They are in the mail!! These are the actual birds. I hope they arrive safe.. What should I name them?? Question 2 - I put 21 S.Buttercup in lock down yesterday morning. Today there is an unpleasant smell. I have never had this happen before and do not know what I should do??

so sorry! I know that's hard. I get migrations to...have you asked you doc about a shot you can take home? that's what I have and it works! the only thing that would work. we all know you take amazing care of you're babies...hugs to you!
I'm to the point of crying. I've had a bad headache today, so didn't check the incubator, which usually isn't a problem, but it just so happened to spike to 122. All 90 eggs are dead! I had my turkeys' first eggs, the last hopes of pekin duck eggs from my now dead drake, an assortment of eggs from the chicken ladies, and of course paint silkies, hen's choice silkies from the same person, my buff D'Uccles and BCM's from Ayeupchuck! Ninety babies in there and all dead now. :( I feel so selfish for not checking it this morning. I know they're "just eggs" but I had just pulled all of the infertiles, so there were two flats of definitely fertile eggs, most close to hatch, plus all of the now grey blobs that were going to be babies in the newly set eggs. I feel like a mass chick murderer.

I still watch the swap despite having no money to claim anything! Going to have to get more marans and silkies somehow. Have to wait and see what replacement we do for the incubator first. George wants it done asap so I can replace eggs, despite the extra cost. Birds are expensive on a budget, especially on top of incubator issues, egg addictions, and having to move and build new pens for everyone.

I honestly haven't been back since I lost insurance last year. Even so, many insuances won't cover home shots. George gets a shot every other week and his insurance won't cover home shots. We thought it'd be a good idea since I know how to do shots, but the insurance he's on won't cover it. The kids are on low cost insurance, but I can't get any for myself. Marriage isn't an option either because I've been fighting for my divorce for over three years now and can't get it finalized, despite contempt of court on the ex for not taking his parenting class to finalize it.
