Sew, little plastic baskets turned upside down over the eggs.
I think I'm probably trying to make it more difficult that it should be. I've been stalking goodwill looking for baskets, but everything seems pretty short, only a couple of inches deep. But I guess since the eggs are on their sides, it really doesn't matter too much?

dollar plastic baskets from target, the plastic craft sheets (with holes in them for lacing crafts) cut to size for large hatching trays. Both something we use for multi breed hatches.

I am so sorry for those suffer from health problems an migraines. I have a lot of empathy. I suffer from migraines 3x a week. I used to take maxalt, which was wonderful, but can't afford it with out insurance. When pregnant I took butalbital, which worked well- but made me feel kind of high.
Now I drink a cup of coffee (caffeine helps me, it is in butalbital and excedrin migraine) take two liquid Ibuprofen and an aspirin, then wear sunglasses until my head and eyes aren't so sensitive. It doesn't do the magic maxalt did.

Sewchaos, hit up your local dollar stare. Mine always has a zillion little plastic baskets and boxes and organizers and stuff -- planning to snag a few for my next hatch for that very purpose!

I'm trying to look on the bright side. I'm hoping that when I can afford to ship, maybe I can trade soaps and candles to replace the shipped eggs that I lost. I did a second candle on the eggs as I pulled them. Heartbreaking, but better than dumping a live one. Left the marans eggs and the silkies I just seton Sunda. I know there is no chance they survived, but just can't toss them yet.

I'll be bleaching the entire thing though, instead of just soapy water in different sections. Going to try selling theeggs I collect until everything is a go again, imaybe make the shipping money I need to try to barter for eggs.

Since the dollar store shares a parking lot with Goodwill I may need to come up with an excuse to drive to town tomorrow.
