Got my NPIP certificate and pack o'forms today, woo! Waiting on them to tell me options for getting AI cleared as well, potentially. If it's not too much, I'll get that clearance so I can ship to states that require it.

Yay, made my day.

So sorry to hear about your MIL, CPL. It's so hard. We lost my step-father (who raised me and I loved as much as my own father) now 2 years ago, diagnosed with lung cancer after a little cough, gone within 4 months. So fast. He was the strongest man I knew. Big hugs to you and your family during this difficult time.

Now to make some copies of the antigen paperwork to get some smaller aliquots into the mail for people this week while it's above freezing.

Oh! Put my muscovy eggs into lockdown today, looks like one has internally pipped. 9 still going strong, looks like one in there is a late quitter, but really pleased with how they look so far. As of yesterday all of the 9 were moving well. Hard to see in there today on some of them. Wish me luck on my first attempted duck hatch!

ok................ pictures arent the best, took them with my phone tonight. Will take new ones tomorrow when they are loaded with the babies on the porch.

Found them at Home Depot ........................ sold in 2 packs for $19.98 right now.

picked up a roll of plastic hardware cloth for the fronts, zip tied them in place, bungee cords at the top as a drop down hatch. The very top brooder will have a solid lid on top (have to make and mount it after the wee one goes to bed) They have handles molded in the sides to make for an easy carry too.

What are these called please, I just looked around at the Home Depot website and I didn't see anything that looked like these under bins or totes.. I think these would be great for separating chicks you don't want mixed up - without taking up too much floor space!

I have the brinsea eco heaters..........just drop them in and all is good

the plastic is heavy enough you could mount a ceramic light kit to the side wall and use a bulb if needed.

we needed something we could carry from the brooder house to the front for our farm hours on Saturdays and keep the hatchlings sorted but available to be seen for purchase.

I have the ecobrooders also. Which size fits, the small or the large one??

Haha thanks. I get panicked about stuff easily  I just dont want to leave people hanging.

Ohh good now I know you will be SOOO understanding about the fact that I have to send out a butt-load of eggs at the end of the month and I have gone from getting 12-15 eggs a day to 3-4 ?...WHAT?? How does a whole pen quit layin? AND two girls went broody at the exact same time? I am hoping with this warm weather things will be better. Sheesh! I also won't be offering anymore am eggs until these swaps are fulfilled... Unless it is spring ones....umm KYTIn am I clear for that yet?
